Aman Foundation Delhi | NGO for Education, Healthcare & Women Empowerment
Aman Foundation, a Delhi-based NGO, works in education, healthcare, and women empowerment. Read our journey, stories, and how you can be part of the change.
How
It All Started
If you’ve ever lived in Delhi, you
know it’s a city of contrasts. On one side you’ll find glittering malls and on
the other, kids at traffic lights selling balloons just to earn a meal. Every
day we passed those kids. And honestly, we couldn’t just look away anymore.
That’s when Aman Foundation began.
Not in a fancy office, not with big donations, but with a group of us saying, “Let’s
just start. Even if it’s one child, one family, one life.”
And we did. A borrowed room, a few
mats, some books… that’s where the story of Aman Foundation truly began.
What
We Believe In
We don’t believe in charity as much
as we believe in dignity. People don’t need pity — they need opportunities.
Our dream is simple:
- Kids should study, not work.
- Families should get healthcare without fearing how to
pay.
- Women should have the strength, skills, and space to
decide their own lives.
That’s what keeps us moving, every
single day.
Education
– The First Step Toward Change
Walk through any slum in Delhi and
you’ll see kids collecting plastic bottles or selling small items. That sight
is heartbreaking. Why should they be denied the chance that other children take
for granted?
So we opened small learning centers.
Sometimes just one room with mats on the floor, sometimes an open space under a
shade. Nothing fancy. But to those kids, it’s like magic.
Neha is one of them. She used to
sell roses at Connaught Place. Quiet, shy, always looking down. Now she reads
stories, writes neatly, and even helps her younger brother with homework. The
day she told us she wants to be a teacher, we all clapped and cried at the same
time. That’s the kind of change education brings — not just in books, but in
dreams.
Healthcare
– Because Health Shouldn’t Depend on Money
Here’s the reality: in many parts of
Delhi, people don’t go to doctors until things get really bad. Why? Because
they’re scared of the bills. And sometimes, it’s too late by then.
That’s where we step in. Our free
health camps bring doctors and medicines straight to the communities. Under a
tent, in a school building, wherever possible.
One time in Seelampur, a little boy
came with what his mother thought was a stubborn cough. Our doctors found out
it was tuberculosis. We immediately got him treated. His mother held our hands
with tears in her eyes, saying, “You didn’t just treat him, you saved my
world.” Moments like these stay with you forever.
Women
Empowerment – Strong Women, Strong Families
We’ve seen it again and again: when
women grow stronger, entire families rise.
That’s why Aman Foundation runs
tailoring classes, computer training, and even handicraft workshops. But it’s
not just about skills. It’s about confidence. It’s about women feeling like
they can stand tall.
Like Rukhsana. She worked as a
domestic helper. After our tailoring program, she started stitching clothes.
Now she runs a tiny unit with two other women. She pays for her kids’ school with
her own earnings. She once told us, “For the first time, I feel I have an
identity.” Those words are worth more than any certificate.
Standing
Together in Every Crisis
We don’t just stop at education,
health, or skills. Life throws challenges, and communities need support.
During the COVID lockdowns, we saw
hunger everywhere. Roads empty, but lines of families waiting for food. Our
team distributed over 10,000 ration kits. Sometimes walking for kilometers,
sometimes delivering door-to-door. It wasn’t easy, but every kit meant one more
family slept without hunger that night.
We also organize cleanliness drives,
tree plantations, and youth training programs. Because development isn’t just
one thing — it’s everything working together.
Why
People Trust Aman Foundation
We often hear this from families: “You
don’t just come once for photos. You stay with us.” That’s probably why
people trust us.
- We’re present on the ground, not just on paper.
- We keep things transparent — donations are accounted
for, and we share updates.
- We look at the whole picture: education, healthcare,
women empowerment, livelihood.
For us, trust is everything. Without
it, nothing works.
How
You Can Help
If you’re reading this, chances are
you already care. And that’s half the battle. Here are ways you can join hands
with us:
- Donate:
Even a small amount makes a big difference. A few hundred rupees can buy
books for a child.
- Volunteer:
Teach, guide, or simply spend time with kids. Believe us, they’ll teach
you more than you expect.
- CSR Partnerships:
If you’re part of a company, collaborate with us to expand impact.
- Spread the Word:
Share our stories, talk about our work. Awareness is powerful.
You don’t need to move mountains.
Just a little effort goes a long way.

Our
Goals Ahead
We’ve come far, but there’s so much
more to do. By 2026, we want to:
- Educate 5,000 children in Delhi.
- Open a community health center.
- Launch a support fund for women entrepreneurs.
- Train youth in digital and job-ready skills.
It’s a big dream, but so was
starting Aman Foundation. And here we are.
Closing
Thoughts – Together is the Only Way
Aman Foundation is not just a
Delhi-based NGO. It’s a family of people — volunteers, supporters, and
communities — who believe change is possible.
We’ve seen it with our own eyes: a
child’s first day in school, a mother earning her own income, a family receiving
healthcare they thought was out of reach. These are not just numbers. These are
lives.
And if you ask us what keeps us
going, the answer is simple: hope. Hope that together, we can create a Delhi
where no one is left behind.
So, come be a part of it. Because
change isn’t about them or us. It’s about all of us.
